Registered Chiropodist
Mr. David Presse began his career in 1986, graduating second in his class from the Chiropody Program at George Brown College (now the Michener Institute). As part of only the fourth-ever graduating class in chiropody, he was awarded the prestigious Molly McCartney Award for achieving the highest marks in anatomy and physiology of the lower extremities.
David began his professional journey at Riverdale Hospital in Toronto, where he was part of the outreach chiropody program and mentored students gaining practical experience. He then served as Charge Chiropodist at Oakville Hospital before transitioning into private practice, where he has been serving patients ever since.
With decades of hands-on experience, David remains deeply connected to the chiropody community, regularly attending the annual Chiropodists Conference to stay current with advancements in the field. Known for his commitment to patient care and professional growth, David continues to practice with passion — with no plans of slowing down.
No, you do not need a referral from your doctor. Our registered chiropodist will handle the assessment, prescription, and dispensing for your orthotics! However, if you would like compression stockings, you WILL have to provide a prescription so we know which compression level you need.
Most employee benefit plans do provide orthopedic supply coverage (custom-made orthotics and compression stockings). A good way to find out is to call your insurance company and ask what your coverage is.
As the hospital for special surgery has stated; "They work like shock absorbers, removing pressure and stress from painful areas in the foot and ankle. They can also prevent foot deformity or keep it from getting worse, better position the foot inside the shoe and improve the overall way that the foot and lower leg move." You can read more here:
